You can now unleash your inner Bear Grylls by joining a Bushcraft Trials team building day in one of our local parks.
The enjoyable and challenging days are organised by Knowsley Council’s Green Space Ranger Service and are ideal for teams of work colleagues, family or friends.
The latest Bushcraft event was held at Halewood Park and was attended by staff teams from local employers including QVC, the Leather Satchel Company and specialist education provider Idem Living.
The outdoor adventure team-building sessions saw participants try their hand at activities including orienteering, fire lighting and rope bridge building.
Doing something different
Di Jones, from Idem Living said: “This has given us a great opportunity to join together and do something that is totally different from what we do in our day jobs. It’s been a great day – we’ve had an absolute ball.”
The Bushcraft sessions were developed in answer to the increasing popularity of Bear Grylls-type outdoor adventures and form part of a wider income-generating ecotherapy and outdoor environmental education programme offered by the borough’s Green Space Rangers.
In addition to the Bushcraft sessions for businesses, the programme offers a range of outdoor education courses for schools and early years providers.
