Children under 11 are invited to step back in time this summer to show off their flower power and creativity in a 1960s and 1970s fancy dress competition!
The fancy dress competition will be 60s and 70s themed to fit in with the Summer of Love atmosphere that will be all around Knowsley Feelgood Festival and Knowsley Flower Show, where the competition will take place.
Feelgood Festival will be happening on Saturday 5 August and Knowsley Flower Show will be taking place on Sunday 6 August, both at Court Hey Park in Huyton.
Everyone who takes part in the competition will receive a prize and those who come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each of the different age categories (1 to 5 and 6 to 11) will receive a very special prize! Prizes include tickets to Knowsley Safari Park, Spaceworld and the Beauty and the Beast pantomime at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park this Christmas.
The children’s fabulous outfits will be judged by a host of people including a representative from LUSH, a representative from Knowsley Youth Mutual and an outreach office from Children’s Centres.
You will be contacted with information on what you should do on the day closer to the time.
Good luck to all entrants!
If you’re planning on coming to Knowsley Flower Show, you can hop on a free shuttle bus that’s being run across Knowsley to get there.
