A Knowsley Council employee and his family are thanking everyone who helped them buy specialist medical equipment for their son.
12-year-old Christopher Hardman suffers from an undiagnosed neuromuscular condition, which left him unable to walk.
Christopher’s parents, Steve and Natalie, launched a fundraising appeal to raise £20,600 to buy an InnoWalk. This equipment helps to strengthen muscles, aid the digestive system and help to give a sense of wellbeing. The InnoWalk is not available on the NHS and could only be bought privately from abroad.
Steve and Natalie set up a Go Fund Me page to raise the money through donations, raffles and other charity events.
Thanks to the support of local people and businesses, they quickly raised the money required and bought the equipment.
The family would like to pass on a huge thank you to everyone who supported them.
