A consultation has opened regarding the council’s Local Plan and adding social value into its housing and other development opportunities, focusing on employment and skills.
Social value is about additional benefits, including economic, social and environmental benefits that can be created as part of a development.
By seeking to capture social value from major developments, whilst such schemes are at the planning stage, the council can achieve significant added value benefits for the people of Knowsley, particularly in the area of employment and skills, to which this consultation relates to.
The consultation will run for a period of 6 weeks from Tuesday, 29 May 2018 to 5pm on Tuesday, 10 July 2018.
