David Holmes: Werewolf in a Jet Pack is a unique and exciting exhibition being showcased in Knowsley this autumn.
Huyton based artist David Holmes brings artefacts, sketches, graphics and personal photographs together to manipulate them to create a cool imagined world. While David’s work has been exhibited across the UK in group shows, this is his first solo exhibition which Huyton Gallery has the honour of presenting.
The artist works with all sorts of mediums and processes including digital imaging, traditional printmaking and papermaking with a main focus on visual culture. He gains his inspiration from all kinds of images which may become an idea for a piece of art that represents a past, present or even an invented event taken from his imagination. To develop and illustrate the narrative of his pieces, the images and elements of the artwork have symbolic meanings behind them that you can think about.
You can see David Holmes: Werewolf in a Jet Pack in Huyton Gallery right now until Saturday 28 October 2017.
You can find Huyton Gallery in Huyton Library at Civic Way, Huyton L36 9GD
The gallery is open on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 10am to 5pm, and Thursday and Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
