National health retailer Holland and Barrett has announced it will be opening a new store in Huyton Village Centre. The retailer is taking a 1,709 sq ft unit in Cavendish Walk and the store is due to open this Summer.
In addition, Knowsley Citizen’s Advice Bureau has also agreed a 589 sq ft letting in the heart of Huyton Village, whilst The Fragrance Shop has also renewed its lease for a further 10 years.
GVA, which manages the Huyton Village scheme, says it has seen increased interest in the area as more and more local people choose to return to its high street.
The regeneration of Huyton Village Centre is a priority for Knowsley Council, which recently committed £1.75m of funding to kick start the first phase of the regeneration of Huyton Village Centre.
Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said “The regeneration of Huyton Village Centre includes identifying and releasing sites for development, attracting businesses and residents into the area, as well as arranging events for residents and visitors to enjoy. Our first Foodie Friday event took place last week with over 650 people attending, so I hope that this event, our planned investments and the news that some of our empty outlets are being let in Huyton Village Centre, is the start of good things to come to Huyton.”
