As part of Network Rail’s Huyton Roby Capacity scheme, there are works underway in Huyton to deliver a better railway for Britain – and you can find out more at a drop in event this Thursday.
Plans include extending and bringing into use of the fourth railway track that was installed during the first phase of works. There will also be other works taking place such as vegetation work and a new protection structure at BT Exchange being installed.
The railway corridor will be widened which means that Huyton Bus Station must be remodelled and consequently, new retaining structures and boundary fencing will be installed, and overhead line equipment will be relocated. As a result, the car park off Huyton Hey Road has closed and will remain closed until Tuesday 9 May 2017. The bus station will be worked on between mid-October and mid-December.
If you would like to view the proposed plans or discuss anything about the plans, you can do so at a public drop-in event with Network Rail. At the drop-in event, you will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from Network Rail and its principal contractor to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about the scheme.
The public drop-in event will be at The Venue, Civic Way, Poplar Bank, Huyton, L36 9GD from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday 29 September.
