People who have a connection with Knowsley and possess a creative flair are currently showcasing their artwork in Huyton Gallery.
The exhibition displays the work of over 100 artists of varying levels and abilities including the work of successful and popular local artists such as Leslie Briggs, Thomas Judge and Viv Frodsham. Exhibiting alongside these are a great range also of professional artists such as Ian Hewitt, Pui Lee, Mike Kirby, Steve Talbot, Patricia McDonald and David Holmes. The exhibition also includes the ‘Young Artists Open’ which displays work by artists up to the ages of 17. The exhibition is pleased to be able to showcase a real mix of artistic experience.
Cllr Eddie Connor, Cabinet Member for Public Health, Wellbeing and Customer Services, said: “The Open Art Exhibition has been running for 16 years now and it is great to see it is as successful as ever. It seems that people of all ages are still enjoying being involved and I hope people continue to enter their work in the exhibition in years to come. It is an excellent way to show off the talent that Knowsley has to offer and the artists should be proud to show off their great work.”
The local artistic talent will be available to view at Huyton Gallery in Huyton Library until Saturday 7 January 2017.
Huyton Gallery is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 10am to 5pm, and on Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm.
