The Knowsley Sports and Culture Awards recognise the efforts of people of all ages in Knowsley and there are categories specifically for children and young people so they receive the attention they deserve.
We are looking for young people in Knowsley who have made a difference in some way and inspire others with their actions.
Do you know someone who fits into these categories and deserve to be recognised?
Young Sports Performer/Volunteer of the Year
This award is for someone who has shown amazing commitment to the sport they play and the club they belong to. Nominees should have achieved a high standard in sport at local, regional or national level or demonstrate how their volunteering makes a difference.
Here’s what details you should include in your nomination:
Achievements – What is your nominee’s participation and performance like? Have there been any barriers to their success?
Level of achievement – Is it local, country, national, international…?
Duration – How long has your nominee been involved in their sport?
Dedication – How many hours do they do? How else do they show their commitment?
Further involvement – Does your nominee do anything else to do with their sport that shows their passion such as working in the club, coaching, officiating or volunteering?
Supporting material –You can include any other comments to evidence further why you think your nominee deserves to win this award.
Junior Active Achiever of the Year
If you know someone aged five to 19 who has improved their health and wellbeing by getting involved in more exercise, nominate them in this category to show you have recognised their important efforts.
Young Artist of the Year
For this category, you can nominate someone who is under 18 and has shown commitment to the art form they take part in such as dance, drama, visual arts, creative writing, music and singing.
School Cultural Educational Achievement of the Year
This award will go to a deserving individual or school that demonstrates great artistic achievement and success through cultural education. This success could have come from something such as a project, an event, a cultural partnership or an arts award.

You have until Friday 15 September 2017 to submit your nominations and the awards will take place on Friday 13 October 2017 at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park.
