Award winning, Prescot-based MATE Productions present their spectacular outdoor co-production of ‘The Tempest’ in Knowsley, in partnership with the Shakespeare North Trust, and in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
A spectacular storm and shipwreck will transport you to a enchanted island where you will bear witness to a magical tale of treachery, revenge and love involving a magician, a pair of lovers, a large helping of the supernatural and a hilarious subplot with a monster and a couple of fools!
Original live music, spectacular design, and a talented ensemble of actors, dancers, singers and musicians are MATE’s trademark and this year’s tempestuous offering promises to be another stunning hit.
Performances will take place during weekends throughout June and July 2017 in Prescot Woodland Theatre in Prescot Town Centre (10, 11 June and 15 July), St Nicholas Church Gardens in Halewood (2 July), as well as a wide range of beautiful gardens and outdoor venues across Merseyside and at the RSC in Stratford Upon Avon.
Tickets are £9.50 for adults, £5.50 for children and £26 for a family (2 x adults and 2 x children). Please note a 10% booking fee will apply.

Camping chairs will be provided in Prescot and Halewood but if you’re going to other venues please bring a camping chair or picnic blanket. Refreshments will be on sale. Please dress for the weather, the performance will not be cancelled due to rain.
