With newborn lambs, goats and chicks to see, Acorn Farm is a great day out for families with young children this Spring.
The farm, in Kirkby, has recently welcomed 16 baby lambs with more expected soon!
Gertie, one of the farm’s pygmy goats, is also expecting kids in April, and with plenty of fluffy chicks hatching around this time there’ll be plenty of cute baby animals to fall in love with!
Plus there’s all the usual animals to stroke and pet, as well as pony rides every weekend and bank holiday afternoon and every afternoon during Knowsley school holidays between 1:30pm-3pm. (Tickets for pony rides are priced £2 for two circuits of the riding arena.)
How much does it cost?
Admission to Acorn Fam is £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for children aged one to 16. Babies under 12 months go free.
The farm, situated on Knowsley Business Park, is open 7 days a week 10am – 4pm.
Make a day of it and visit Oak Tree Cafe, which serves delicious homemade specials, and browse the selection of free range and home produced meats and eggs available to purchase in the farm shop.
There’s also the chance to buy some beautiful plants for your garden in the farm’s plant sales area.
